A considered approach

How Fern works

Warming and cooling is the easy bit, our challenge is maintaining the visual aesthetic of your home whilst installing the right configuration of units for your needs. Installing air conditioning can be disruptive, so we listen to what matters to you, advise, find agreement, then get to work.

Home offices

Warm the office directly instead of the whole house. Air goes straight into the room, so it can feel warmer within minutes. In summer, the same system cools without a portable hose or desk fan.

Garden studios

A garden studio gains and loses heat on every side. One system warms or cools it within minutes and can use less electricity than a plug-in heater for the same warmth.

Bedrooms

A fixed system carries heat outside with the windows shut, keeping more street noise outside too. We place the airflow away from the bed and show you the unit’s published sound level before you decide.

Loft spaces

A loft holds heat long after sunset. Warm or cool air goes straight into the room, so the space responds without waiting for the whole house.

Kitchen/lounges

Cooking, afternoon sun and a room full of people change the temperature quickly. A room-led system responds directly, without asking the rest of the house to follow.

Inside

A slim unit serves each room you choose. We balance airflow, symmetry, access and the least visible practical pipe route before agreeing its position with you.

Outside

One outdoor unit, sometimes two on a larger house, moves heat between inside and outside. Nothing is burned at home. That is why the same system can work in both seasons.

All year

In January, it gathers warmth from the outside air and brings it in. In July, it runs in reverse and carries heat out. Each room has its own control.

Why get AC

As the world warms, the temperature of your home has become a year-round consideration. Cooling in the summer is a growing requirement and zonal heating in the winter helps curb energy bills, especially when working from home.

Starting again with a whole new system is not always an option. Air conditioning provides a solution. Whilst both cooling and heating, each of your rooms are set independently and therefore efficiently.
